USC Price Masters students facilitated a practicum project in partnership with the California Senate Office of Research exploring the crisis of homelessness among older adults and potential interventions to better serve this population in the state. Utilizing a landscape analysis and conducting dozens of interviews with subject matter experts and older adults who have experienced homelessness, the team arrived at three recommendations for California: 1) Expanding data collection and reporting systems to capture the scope and characteristics of individuals experiencing homelessness that can enable evidence-based policy responses 2) Improve accessibility by reducing administrative barriers and increasing outreach 3) Promotion of intergenerational housing models
