The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) 2014 Annual Homeless Assessment Report (AHAR) Part 2. The AHAR provides national estimates of homelessness in the United States. Like previous annual reports, this report is the second part in a two-part series, supplementing the Part 1 report that was published in October 2014. This report augments our understanding of homelessness by including 1-year, national estimates of people in shelter and in-depth information about their characteristics and service-use patterns. This year, we include a new section about people who double up, or have other precarious housing situations to further our understanding of homelessness and housing instability.
